GENERAL INFORMATION
What cookies are and what they are used for
A cookie is a text file that a website visited by the user sends to the user’s device (computer, mobile device such as smartphone or tablet), where it is stored and then transmitted back to the same website on subsequent visits.
Cookies are classified:
- based on the party that installs them, depending on whether they are installed by the operator of the website being visited (so-called “first-party cookies”) or by a different party (so-called “third-party cookies”);
- based on the purpose of each cookie: some cookies enable better navigation by storing certain user choices, such as language preferences (so-called “technical cookies”); other cookies allow the monitoring of user browsing also for the purpose of sending advertising and/or providing services in line with their preferences (so-called “profiling cookies”).
Only profiling cookies require the user’s prior consent. The Data Controller is responsible exclusively for the first-party cookies installed directly on the Website. In the section “First-party technical cookies” you may view the types of first-party technical cookies released by the Website. The management of third-party profiling cookies is described in the section “Third-party profiling cookies”.

First-party technical cookies
These cookies are necessary for the Website to function and cannot be disabled. They are usually set in response to actions made by you which amount to a request for services, such as setting cookie preferences, logging in or filling in forms, or navigation preferences.
- The Website releases navigation or session cookies that ensure normal browsing and use of the Website.
- The Website also releases cookies that record your consent to the use of profiling cookies and your related preferences. These cookies recognise you on your second visit to the Website so that you are not asked again to provide consent for the installation of profiling cookies.
- The Website Controller also uses “anonymised” Google Analytics. This means that cookies released by Google Analytics allow only statistical data analysis, without the possibility of identifying the individual user.
Third-party profiling cookies
The Website does not release profiling, advertising or statistical cookies.
Your rights
Pursuant to Article 13 of the GDPR, the Data Controller informs you that you have the right to:
- request from the Data Controller access to your personal data and the rectification or erasure of such data, or restriction of processing concerning you, or to object to processing, as well as the right to data portability;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal;
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (e.g. the Italian Data Protection Authority).
The above rights may be exercised by submitting an informal request using the contact details provided in the Introduction.
Data sharing
